The world of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was irreversibly altered in the fallout of an augmentation debate. Following a technological renaissance, a neo-medieval period emerged, characterised by an authoritarian landscape de-saturated with grey and black. This piece presents protagonist Adam Jensen amidst the smoke and chaos of global entropy in the foreground, and features abrupt architectural clashes in the backdrop, figuratively expressive of the rapid, arguably dangerous, change instigated by technological advancement.
